About St Anna Greek Orthodox Church
Located in Hunterdon County, NJ, Saint Anna Greek Orthodox Church has been serving Central NJ and the surrounding area since 2002, when the church originated as the Greek Orthodox Parish of Hunterdon County. On January 31, 2010, the Metropolis of New Jersey under the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, granted the Greek Orthodox Parish of Hunterdon County its name, St. Anna Greek Orthodox Church, and a permanent charter. The parishioners of St. Anna celebrated the historic moment with much anticipation, joy, and spiritual uplifting. Since then, the joy continues!
Online Shutterfly Pictorial Of St Anna
The first and only Greek Orthodox Church in Hunterdon County, Saint Anna started out with a humble handful of worshippers and has built an Orthodox community that offers a full compliment of services and ministries to its 120 parishioner- families. The community is rich in spirit, faith, and togetherness; proud of its heritage as much as its inspiring diversity; and open to all those seeking Christian fellowship and support.
St Anna Greek Orthodox Church is under the jurisdiction of the Metropolis of New Jersey under the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
The parishioners of Saint Anna are proud of its priest, Father Anastasios Kousoulas, who joined us July 1, 2011. Please read Father Anastasios's biography.
Regular services are held on Sundays and special Feast Days. The Orthros Service begins at 8:00 am followed by the Divine Liturgy at 9:00 am. Youth attend services through the first half of the Divine Liturgy, break for Religious Education classes, and then return to receive communion. Check the online calendar for additional services. A Fellowship Coffee Hour begins at 10:30 am.
The community is currently worshipping at the Allerton United Methodist Church, 104 Allerton Road & Route 31 South, Annandale, NJ 08801. The parishioners are looking forward to celebrating soon in their own house of worship, hopefully by Easter, 2013.
