His Eminence Metropolitan Evangelos Recently Tonsures Several Acolytes

Acolytes

Acolyte - the follower of a priest; a person assisting the priest in church ceremonies or services. In the early Church, the acolytes were adults; today, however, the duties are performed by children (altar boys).

Numerous young men comprise the Saint Anna Greek Orthodox Church Acolytes Program. Usually three to four altar boys assist Father Anastasios each Sunday via a rotating schedule.

Parents interesting in enrolling their sons (fifth grade through high school), please contact Father Anastasios at 908-528-1077 or via email at frakousoulas@gmail.com. The Orthros begins each Sunday at 8:15 am and the Divine Liturgy follows at 9:15 am.
